Every so often I'm struck by how much there is to know. This feeling comes to me most often when I'm studying. Computer science, relative to many of the other fields in the world, is young and growing. There are so many unanswered questions! Unexplored fields! So many foggy areas that need people to push forward and light up the way.
No one can hope to know about everything anymore. There was a period of human history where most of human knowledge could be held by one people. Or, at the very least, a handful of people.
There's no hope of such an organization or institution now. No one knows everything about everything, anymore.
